This lens is not very versatile, it is good for taking pictures of things at long distance with very bright light available. I mostly use this lens to take pictures at outdoor sports with large fields like soccer or football. This lens is difficult to use indoors due to the high light requirement.
It is also a very large lens and that makes it relatively difficult to handle under normal circumstances but it has image stabilization which can help. It has large autofocus motors that are louder than any other lens I own which can be heard if you shoot video.
I would like to replace this lens with a much faster constant aperture lens that would be better for sports shooting, especially indoors but there are a few reasons I haven't. A new lens would be so big and heavy that it requires support. It is also 5-10 times more expensive which is the main reason I can't!
